Launch of India-Japan Friendship Forum

The launch of this Forum took place on 8th January 2019 at The Lalit, New Delhi from 1830-2030 hrs in the presence of H.E. Mr. Taro Kono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation.
The event was also be joined by H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to India, Members of Parliament, eminent Industry leaders including FICCI Past Presidents with active business engagements with Japan like Dr Jyotsna Suri, Mr RC Bhargava, CEOs of Japanese companies, representative of Japan related organizations among others; diplomats and Japanese friends in India.
H.E Taro Kono emphasised that IJFF reinforces the relationship Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Abe have built together. Shri Prabhu reiterated the need for new dynamics to take Japan and India economic partnership to greater heights and mentioned that FICCI can play an important role here. He also offered to set up Japanese economic zones with all the Japanese businesses and social infrastructure there.
